Shipping rates will be calculated using Canada Post service rate interface based on shipping weight (heavier or bulkier items cost more) and the destination (further from Southern Ontario or remove locations cost more). These are based on the the dimensional weight, where the size of the package and the weight is used to determine the shipping cost for that item. These are the same rates you would need to pay to ship an item from Ontario to your home and can be found at www.Canadapost.ca  The shipping rate is automoatically adjusted at checkout to include a small handling charge. Shipping and handling charges will be presented at checkout prior to payment. If an additional charge beyond what is quoted at checkout is required for your order, we will contact you by e-mail or phone to inform you of the higher shipping cost. We will not charge your credit card or ship your order until you have been made aware of, and accepted, the higher shipping cost.

 

Handling charges included are for the costs related to providing a sturdy carton and packing material to securely pack your item(s).  Shipping costs are required to include tracking and confirmation of delivery and usually include insurance for the shipping costs.  Note that these are not options and are required by credit card processing companies to avoid disputes and charge-back costs.

 

For orders with incorrect or inadequate shipping charges calculated, we will try to contact you by email and/or calling your daytime phone number. This will usually be to advise of options available. Where we are not able to make arrangements in a suitable alternative, we will cancel the order and reverse the credit card charge for the order. We will not make an additional charge to your credit card or process the order until we obtain your consent. If we are not able to contact you, we will adjust the shipping to the best shipping method that can be afforded with the shipping charges that have been paid for.
