Return/Refund Policy

If there is a problem with the shipment, we need to be notified of the return within 5 days of receiving your order. Please contact us using the RMA function from My Account:
Just go to our website,
1) click on My account link
2) click on your order (View Details) link
3) click on Add New RMA button
4) fill in the information
5) click on Save RMA button
You must include the order number from the purchase and the item number(s) being returned.  If you return the item without a RMA number the shipment will be refused and returned. Please note that the RMA number sometimes takes a few days to be issued unless you use the website to initiate the RMA. The 5 day limit is based on when you request the RMA, not when we issue it. The product(s) must be returned to our warehouse with 15 days of issuance of the RMA number. This RMA number which must be written on the outside of the package you return.
 
Refund credits in reward points (for amounts less than $20) and/or gift certificates (for amounts in denominations of $20, $50, $150, $200) will be issued for all purchases.  This will allow for a new purchase of a replacement item. Note that reward points for the purchase will be deducted from the earlier purchase.

The product must still be in the original condition it was received which usually means FACTORY SEALED CONDITION for most items. If the product has been opened, we will not accept it back and will return the product to you at your expense. WE DO NOT ACCEPT merchandise that has been opened. Under certain circumstances, we reserve the right to deduct up to 50% from your refund credit if the packaging has been damaged. Refund credits are usually issued within 7 business days of receipt of the product return with the RMA. Where the product is damaged in shipping, please bring that to the attention of the shipper immediately upon receiving the product to allow you to file a claim. Damage from shipping is not the responsibility of Boardgames 4 Us™.  You will need to file a claim with shipping company.  We can assist.

We'll pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.). If the shipping error is ours, we will cover your shipping costs if you use our requested shipping method and our return form, which we will gladly provide to you by e-mail or fax. When shipping back the incorrect item to us, please pack your returns securely. Your credit card will also be refunded for your shipping fees.

If an item was received that was damaged or defective and there was no apparent damage to the shipping box, please email us a digital photo of the damaged or defective product.  We will follow the policy of the manufacturer to replace the product with a new product.  In some cases, the manufacturer will send the replacement product directly to you.  Where the product needs to be returned for replacement, you will be provided with special information regarding how to ship the product back to the manufacturer or to us.  It is our policy to replace a damaged product rather than to issue a refund.

If the return was not due to an error of ours (ie. you ordered it and then decided later on that you don't want it), the buyer accepts full responsibility for all shipping costs plus a 10% re-stocking fee (minimum $10) will be deducted from your refund credit. If the item's factory seal was broken, we cannot accept the item back and will return it to you at additional shipping cost (where applicable). If you order a replacing product of similar or higher value prior to the processing of the return, we reduce the restocking fee to $5.  Note that because of shipping costs in both directions being non-refundable and the need for the restocking fee, returns of inexpensive items (less than $30) usually results in a minimal net value for the refund.  In those cases, it is best for you to keep the item and offer it as a gift at a future date.  Shipping and labour costs are not insignificant.  Where shipping for the order has been identified as Free shipping, the actual cost of shipping will be deducted from the refund. This is typically $15 or more.
 
Note that if there is a problem that requires the order to be cancelled after it has been processed but before it is delivered, please contact us to initiate an interception of the package with the shipping company.  This may reduce some of the charges involved.  All shipping charges and return restocking charges will still be the responsibility of the customer and will not be refunded unless there was a mistake made by our company.  These will be deducted from the refund.
 
It is important to be as proactive and reasonable as possible to minimize resulting incurred expenses which would be deducted from refunds.
